VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) depends on laser technology to detect smokes and fire. The VESDA Smoke Detector and Fire Alarm Systems suck the air from the area and pass it to the detection laser chamber through the aspirating pipe and fittings. It is used in cold rooms, computer rooms, ceiling voids and warehouses. The cold room is one fine example where the extremely low temperatures will ice up the conventional smoke detectors rendering it useless. Here the VESDA detectors are located outside with the aspiration pipe located inside the room. The cold air gets heated up as it arrives in the chamber and it causes the system to detect the smoke or fire.
